With your help, PAWS is committed to enhancing the lives of Petersburg’s animals in need through essential programs and services. Together, we will:
Arrange and support adoption events where animals will meet their new owners in comfortable surroundings
Offer affordable access to spay/neuter services for low-income pet owners
Partner with other shelters and rescues to alleviate overcrowding and prevent unnecessary euthanasia
Operate a food pantry to feed shelter dogs a consistent diet of high-quality nutrition
Provide emergency or specialized medical care for shelter animals that are sick or injured
Build and sustain a dedicated volunteer network to ensure every animal receives safe shelter, compassionate care, and a pathway to a loving home.

Just like your own pet, shelter dogs need a consistent diet of healthy food. But the shelter’s annual operating budget barely covers the cost of low-quality dog food.
Introducing the PAWS Pantry Club, a tax-deductible monthly giving program that empowers donors to feed a shelter dog a consistent diet of high-quality food designed to keep bellies full and nutrition needs met. A $50 donation feeds one dog for one month; a $600 donation feeds one dog for a full year.
